2) gov a public room or hall adjacent to a legislative chamber
3) gov a group of persons who try to influence legislators or other public officials to vote or act in favor of a special interest
4) gov to try to influence legislation or administrative decisions
5) gov to try to influence the actions or votes of (legislators or other public officials)
6) gov to urge or procure the passage of (legislation) by lobbying
